Suspect Charged In Shooting On 14th Street: Police Report
D.C. Police arrested a suspect in connection with an early morning shooting Thursday in the Cardazo neighborhood.
WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Third District arrested a Northeast man Thursday in connection with an early morning shooting that took place in Cardazo, according to a police release.
On Thursday, March 5, around 1 a.m., the suspect was involved in a verbal altercation with multiple individuals in the 2000 block of 14th Street, N.W. During the altercation, two suspects fired handguns. Responding officers arrested one of the suspects and a handgun was recovered. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police arrested D’Angelo Phillips, 24, of Northeast, and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon (gun).
