Suspect Sought In Deanwood Shooting: Police

D.C. homicide detectives released photos of a man wanted in connection with a Wednesday afternoon shooting in Deanwood.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are asking the public's help in identifying a person wanted in connection with an assault that occurred Monday afternoon in the Deanwood area, according to a police release.

Around 1:50 p.m., police say a man entered a residence under construction in the 1600 block of Olive Street, N.E. After brandishing a firearm, he fired a shot at the victim. The man then took property from the residence and fled the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who can identify the individual in these photos or has information about this case is asked to call 202-727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a crime committed in the District.
