AT&T’S 2017 “IT CAN WAIT” Tour Made a Stop at Ballou High School Today
Virtual Reality Experience Shows Ballou Students the Dangers of Smartphone Distracted Driving

As part of a nationwide tour to remind drivers to keep their eyes on the road, not on their phones, AT&T’s 2017 IT CAN WAIT tour made a stop at Ballou High School in Southeast D.C. today. The stop is among 300 taking place nationwide this year.
Using AT&T's unique virtual reality simulator, Ballou students were able to safely experience what can happen when they take their eyes off the road to look at their phones.
IT CAN WAIT is a national movement urging drivers to keep their eyes on the road, not on their phones because distracted driving is never OK. The campaign began with a focus on not texting and driving, but it has now expanded to the broader dangers of smartphone use behind the wheel.
