AT&T Says IT CAN WAIT This Memorial Day Weekend
AT&T's Effort to Combat Distracted Driving

With this Memorial Day weekend expected to be Washington’s busiest in 12 years, AT&T wants to remind drivers that texting while driving is unsafe, illegal and the direct cause of thousands of fatal accidents every year. AT&T is calling on drivers to stop texting while behind the wheel and take the It Can Wait Pledge, to never text and drive.
- Learn who’s at risk, and how you can help: Did you know that 95% of drivers disapprove of distracted driving, yet 71% engage in smartphone activities while driving? Visit our website to learn more.
- Keep yourself safe with helpful technologies: The newly enhanced AT&T DriveMode app helps you minimize distractions while driving by doing things like sending a customizable auto-reply message to incoming texts, letting your friends know you're behind the wheel and will reply when it's safe.
- Take the 21-Day Challenge: Bad habits are hard to break, but experts say it can be done in at least 21 days. We are encouraging those struggling with the urge to drive distracted to take the pledge and make a conscious effort for the next 21 days to avoid it. You’ll break the habit before you know it!
Stay safe. It Can Wait!
