Thousands Descend on the National Mall for 2016 DC Bike Ride [PHOTOS]
The cold and dreary weather didn't stop bicyclists from riding 17 miles through the District.

It wasn't the prettiest day for a bike ride through our nation's capital, but bicyclists still showed up in droves to participate in the 17-mile D.C. Bike Ride today.
The ride began at 8 a.m and ended at 1 p.m., and about 8,000 people signed up to ride through D.C.'s main streets stretching from the National Mall all the way to Georgetown and Arlington, Va.
It meant lots of street closures in the District, as well as some alterations for Metro bus lines.
