Top 6 Most Amazing Photos From The DC Snowstorm
We don't get a lot of snow, but we sure look pretty when it does. Take a look at some of the best photos from Wednesday (so far).

After a winter season that looked like it was going to be a bust, the D.C. area suddenly gets a snowstorm out of the blue after the official start of spring.
While this snowfall won't keep us from still being well below average for snowfall for the 2017-18 season, it's a nice sendoff as we prepare to start warming up and welcome the cherry blossoms. Here are some of the best photos we've seen shared on Twitter from the D.C. region.

You can't get a much better idea of the situation in downtown D.C. than this photo. It's also a good demonstration of why it was a good idea to shut down the federal government -- can you imagine driving on that road?
2. Korean War Memorial takes on a somber tone

This incredible shot of the Korean War Memorial on the National Mall takes on a rather incredible vibe with the snow sitting on the shoulders and heads of the soldiers depicted, and proves we have the best memorials in the country.
3. Cherry blossoms at the Congressional Cemetery

The Cherry Blossom Festival started yesterday, by the way. Sure doesn't feel like it, does it? Snow combined with cherry blossom trees at the Congressional Cemetery certainly is a picture-perfect scene.
4. Sheep huddling for warmth in Maryland

These lambs seem a bit surprised to be getting snow on March 21 out in Pooleseville, Md. But don't worry, they're fine: Amanda posted a follow-up video showing them playing on the rocks.
5. Picturesque neighborhood in Northeast D.C.

It sure is a shame we don't get more snow, as there is no prettier city than D.C. when it is blanketed in the white stuff. And we're not just talking about the memorials: this neighborhood of rowhomes in Northeast is a beautiful sight as well.
6. Adorable pup goes nuts in NoVa
Took a break from work to get out and enjoy the snow in Arlington. About 3 inches so far and the pup definitely is enjoying it. So much that I captured this when he basically flew off the deck and into it! @capitalweather @amelia_draper @ABC7Alex pic.twitter.com/t0k7fMxH6A

We sure get excited about snow in the D.C. area, but probably no human was more excited than this pooch reacting to the newly fallen snow in Arlington, Va.
