Firehouse Subs In DC Area Collecting Funds for Tornado Victims

VIRGINIA/DC — All 30 Firehouse Subs restaurants in the D.C. area are raising money to help victims of the Dec. 10 tornadoes in Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi and Illinois.

Firehouse Subs customers can donate within their local restaurant or online.

All funds collected through Dec. 26 will go to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation’s disaster relief fund, which aims to deliver food and support for disaster relief and recovery efforts, as well as equipment grant requests from area organizations and relief agencies.

The foundation already has donated $25,000 to the American Red Cross for tornado disaster relief.

Founded 16 years ago in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has made donations totaling $62.5 million in North America, including nearly $1.1 million granted to Washington, D.C.
