Triple Homicide In Marshall Heights Investigated: DC Police

D.C. Police are investigating a Tuesday morning shooting incident that left one woman and two men dead in Marshall Heights.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Tuesday morning in Marshall Heights that left three individuals dead, according to a police release.

Sixth District officers were dispatched around 1:15 a.m., to the 5000 block of Bass Place, S.E., for the report of the sound of gunshots. They found an unconscious man and woman inside a vehicle. Both were suffering from gunshot wounds. The officers also located a second unconscious man nearby, also suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS determined that none of the three victims showed any signs consistent with life. They were later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police identified the decedents as Claudette Williams, 56, of Southeast; Marquise Lewis, 29, of Clinton, Maryland; and Juwan Wade, 20, of Northeast.
