Triple Shooting In Southeast Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured: DC Police
Homicide detectives are investigating a triple shooting in Southeast that left one woman dead and two men injured Wednesday night.
WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a triple shooting near the Maryland border Wednesday night that left one woman dead and two men injured, according to a police release.
Around 10:26 p.m., officers from the Seventh District responded to the 4300 block of Wheeler Road, S.E., for the sounds of gunshots. They found Jeanette Walls, 47, of no fixed address, suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS transported Walls to a nearby hospital for treatment, but all lifesaving efforts failed and she was pronounced dead.
In addition, officers found two men at the scene of the shooting also suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons responsible for committing a homicide in the District. Police ask anyone with information about this case to call 202-727-9099 or send an anonymous tip by text to 50411.
