Trump Supporter With Rifle Arrested At President's DC Hotel: Report
Police say the Pennsylvania man had an AR-15 rifle and pistol in his car, and he faces weapons charges as a result.

WASHINGTON, DC — A man who reportedly is a supporter of President Trump was arrested early Wednesday morning at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., after police found a rifle and a pistol in his car, according to a report.
D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham said in a press conference alongside Mayor Muriel Bowser that they received a tip from Pennsylvania State Police at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning that 43-year-old Bryan Moles of Pennsylvania was on his way to the Trump International Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue in D.C. armed with weapons.
Pennsylvania State Police provided information on the suspect, including a description of his vehicle, which prompted the Metropolitan Police Department and Secret Service to contact security at Trump International Hotel.

Authorities located the vehicle and examined it for hazardous materials. After finding none, they discovered an AR-15 rifle and 40-caliber handgun, Newsham said.

Officers discovered Moles checked himself into the hotel at around 1 a.m., he added, noting that he was charged with carrying a pistol without a license and possession of unregistered ammunition.
WJLA reported that Moles is a military veteran who stayed at the hotel because he likes Trump. The report also states there were 90 rounds of ammo in the vehicle, and one of the guns was in plain sight.
"This incident was resolved without the use of force," Bowser said. "Today's incident is an important reminder that when you see something, it is important to say something."
The Secret Service added in its own statement: "The Secret Service greatly appreciates its strong partnership with the Metropolitan Police Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, and all of our law enforcement partners. This investigation is still new and ongoing."
A Facebook profile for Bryan D. Moles that is not confirmed to be the suspect but matches many reported details — he is from Edinboro, Pennsylvania, a military veteran and turned 44 a few weeks ago — doesn't appear to contain any alarming rhetoric. Most of the user's posts show pictures of family or food, although he did post a status update on May 26 asking, "If you had to choose between a Hilton Hotel and a Trump hotel, which would you choose and why?"
