Trump Supporters Can't Find Love In DC: Report
The bright red MAGA hat appears to be a turn-off in this deep blue city.

WASHINGTON, DC -- It's tough to find love regardless of the circumstances. It's darn near impossible if you're a supporter of President Trump in D.C., according to one report.
The Washingtonian reports that conservatives in D.C. are keeping party affiliation out of their dating app profiles, and sometimes even who their employer is, out of a fear that they will be immediately rejected by other singles in the District.
Progressives who spoke to the Washingtonian acknowledged that it was a turn-off to see profiles with certain eye-catching features, like those bright red "Make American Great Again" hats, or more subtle things like hunting gear that might betray more conservative leanings.

“A lot of times you’ll connect with someone [on an app] and they’ll Google you, find out you worked for Trump’s campaign, and then it’s pretty much all downhill from there,” said one Trump official interviewed by the magazine.
Of course, it cuts both ways. The Washingtonian also noted that one conservative acknowledged she was on the lookout for profiles that included a person wearing one of those pink hats from the Women's March or went to a liberal arts college.

After all, when you can just Google someone or check out their dating profile, there's not much reason to find out about someone's politics the old-fashioned way: by talking to them.
