Unlimited 'Crawfish Boil' Coming to Capitol Hill, Arlington

Bayou Bakery is holding a series of Louisiana-style community crawfish boils this spring.

Interested in a good Louisiana-style crawfish boil this spring? Bayou Bakery on Capitol Hill and Clarendon has you covered.

Mardi gras may have come and gone a couple months ago, but native New Orleans chef David Guas of the Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery at 9th and Pennsylvania Ave. SE is offering an all-you-cant-eat and drink community crawfish boil and beer at 5 p.m. April 23, according to a statement. It will also be offered at their Arlington location later.

For $30, you can enjoy the weather on the patio in a communal environment with rows of tables and trays filled with Louisiana crawfish, potatoes and corn on the cob, which you'll be able to wash down with beer. And with weather feeling very springlike lately, now might be the best time for a crawfish boil.

The restaurant will bring out the first 30-pound batch at 5 p.m., and it will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you're going to have to miss the event on Saturday, Bayou Bakery will be holding it again on May 21 and June 18. And if you don't want to come into D.C., you can enjoy the event at their Clarendon location May 7 and June 4.
