Vehicle Of Interest Sought In Columbia Heights Homicide: Police

DC Police released photos of a vehicle of interest in connection with a Sunday afternoon fatal shooting in Columbia Heights.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives are investigating at fatal shooting that took place Sunday afternoon in Columbia Heights, according to a police release.

On Sunday, March 15, around 3:11 p.m., officers from the the Third District responded to the report of gunshots heard in the 3000 block of 14th Street, N.W. Arriving on the scene, officers found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS took the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment, but all life-saving efforts failed and the victim was pronounced dead.

Police identified the decedent as Naseem Simpson, 18, of Northwest.

A nearby surveillance camera captured images of vehicle of interest.
