Vice President Joe Biden Officiates Gay Wedding ... His First Ever
Biden said he was "proud" to marry the two longtime White House staffers in a small ceremony.

Joe Biden has 36 years as a U.S. senator and nearly eight years as vice president of the United States on his resume. Now, he can add wedding officiant to it.
Biden posted a picture on his official Twitter account of him officiating the wedding of two longtime White House staffers, Brian Mosteller and Joe Mahshie, at his residence on Monday afternoon.
"Proud to marry Brian and Joe at my house," he tweeted. "Couldn't be happier, two longtime White House staffers, two great guys."

The couple had asked Biden to officiate the wedding, something he'd never done before, according to an NBC 4 report, which noted that he obtained a temporary certification from the District of Columbia in order to perform the ceremony. It was a small wedding featuring just immediate family members of both of the grooms.
