D.C. police have released a surveillance video and photos that they say show two people wanted in connection with Tuesday's hit and run that killed 33-year-old Rakesh Patel of from Silver Spring, Maryland.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department released a surveillance video and photos of two persons of interest wanted in connection with Tuesday's hit-and-run that killed 33-year-old Rakesh Patel of from Silver Spring, Maryland.

The hit and run occurred at the intersection of 18th Street and Florida Avenue Tuesday just after 8 p.m., according to police. Patel's car was a dark silver Mercedes E350 with Ohio license plate EVB5183.

The video shows two people exiting a car while the driver remains inside.

Metropolitan Police are asking anyone with information about the hit and run to call them at 202-727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.

A $25,000 reward is being offered for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible in this case.
