'Wahlburgers' is Coming to DC
The burger chain featuring the Wahlberg brothers is moving into Dupont Circle, and will be the first of many in the area.

The burger concept/reality show phenomenon that is Wahlburgers is officially coming to Washington, D.C.
Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg -- brother of film star Mark Wahlberg, who along with his other brother Donnie also owns part the chain -- will be opening the first Wahlburgers location in D.C. at Dupont Circle later this year, according to a statement.
The restaurant will certainly have a prime location, situated at One Dupont Circle in 6,500 square feet of space. The Wahlbergs plan to open a number of restaurants in the D.C. area, including Virginia and Maryland.

"We're thrilled to be bringing Wahlburgers to our nation’s capital, especially during such an exciting election year," Rick Vanzura, CEO of Wahlburgers, said in the statement. "We look forward to serving D.C.’s diverse community and welcoming everyone from foreign ambassadors and elected officials to students and visitors."
Wahlburgers is also the name of a reality television series on the A&E network that started airing in January 2014, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the restaurant and the interactions between the Wahlberg family. The chain opened in 2011 the Boston area, which is where the family is from.

"Prominently situated on Dupont Circle, Wahlburgers' signature green décor will grace the interior and exterior of a striking glass structure and feature both a fast casual counter and spacious full-service dining room with expansive bar and outdoor patio," the statement adds. "A retail section will showcase branded Wahlburgers t-shirts, hats, drinkware and more."
