UPCOMING SCHEDULE: The series will shift back to Las Vegas for Game 5 on Thursday, June 7.

If the Caps lose Monday or Thursday, they'll play Game 6 in Washington on Sunday, June 10, and if there is a Game 7, it will happen on Wednesday, June 13.

All games will take place at 8 p.m.

GAME 1 RECAP: The Caps lost a back-and-forth game in which they often took the lead only for Vegas to quickly answer. Brett Connolly was first on board for the Caps in the 1st period, followed by Nick Backstrom less than a minute later. John Carlson scored in the 2nd period and Tom Wilson scored in the 3rd.

GAME 2 RECAP: After falling behind 1-0, the Caps scored three straight with goals from Lars Eller, Alex Ovechkin, and Brooks Orpik. Vegas got a goal back on the power play, but late-game heroics from Holtby kept the score at 3-2 until the final buzzer. The win was potentially costly for the Caps, with Evgeny Kuznetsov leaving the ice with an injury and not returning.

GAME 3 RECAP: After the opening goal by Devante Smith-Pelly was waved off for goalie interference, the Caps finally found the back of the net thanks to a mad scramble that saw Alex Ovechkin pot home the goal in the 2nd period. Evgeny Kuznetsov scored the ultimate game-winner on an odd-man rush, and even though Braden Holtby committed a brutal error to allow the Golden Knights to get on the board, Smith-Pelly salted the game away with a goal in the third period.
