Watch First Video of Bao Bao in China

Bao Bao left D.C. last week, and she's just starting to get acclimated to her new surroundings.

Bao Bao has finally made it to China, and video has emerged of her exploring her new surroundings in her homeland for the first time.

The video shows Bao Bao cautiously emerging from her crate, sniffing around her surroundings before settling down and munching on some greenery on the floor.

Bao Bao arrived in China late last week after departing from her birthplace, the National Zoo in D.C. Bao Bao is part of a collaborative breeding program with China that requires pandas born at the National Zoo to be sent back to China before they reach 4 years of age. Bao Bao was born in August 2013.
