Watch Lin-Manuel Miranda Sing While Riding The US Capitol Subway
The creator of "Hamilton" is in town this week to advocate for continued funding of national endowments for arts and humanities.

WASHINGTON, DC — Did you know that "Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda hammed it up in D.C. this week? He posted a few videos of himself singing some showtunes while riding the "secret Congress train" that ferries members of Congress to and from the U.S. Capitol.
Miranda accepted an award at the Capitol on Tuesday in a room with the likeness of Alexander Hamilton. he was honored with the 2017 Freedom Award from the United States Capitol Historical Society.
He also visited with several members of the House and Senate, advocating for the National Humanities Alliance to convince them to continue to fund $150 million per year for national endowments for the arts and humanities. While riding the underground train, he decided to regale his small audience with some tunes, which you can view below.
