Watch: Rev. Jesse Jackson Sees His Ben's Chili Bowl Mural

The civil rights leader is being honored in the D.C. eatery's brand new mural.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Rev. Jesse Jackson has spent decades fighting for civil rights stretching all the way back to his time working for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and D.C.'s most iconic eatery is honoring him. Ben's Chili Bowl decided to put Jackson on their new mural, and you can watch his reaction the moment he laid eyes on it in the video below.

Jackson was in town in time for Wednesday's big block party on U Street celebrating the 60th anniversary of Ben's Chili Bowl opening for business in the District.

Ben's Chili Bowl has been D.C.'s most famous eatery for a long time. It served as place to eat for both police and protesters during the riots of 1968, and a long list of celebrities have visited the establishment over the years, ranging from Bill Cosby to Chris Tucker to Barack Obama. It has also been featured in films, like Russell Crowe's "State of Play" and Denzel Washington's "The Pelican Brief."
