Woodbridge Man Arrested In Takoma Shooting: Report

DC Police charged a Woodbridge, Virginia man with assault with a dangerous weapon in connection with a Jan. 28 shooting in Takoma.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting that took place Jan. 28, in Takoma, according to a police report.

On Tuesday, Jan. 28, around 9:16 p.m., officers from the Fourth District responded to the the report of a shooting in the 7200 block of Blair Road, N.W. Arriving on the scene, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Acting on a D.C. Superior Court warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Reshaud Dequan Westbrook, 28, of Woodbridge, Virginia, on Tuesday, Feb. 4, and charged him with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
