Watch James Comey Hearing At A DC Bar ... Seriously
A D.C. bar will serve you Russian-inspired alcoholic beverages at 9:30 a.m. on a Thursday as fired FBI director James Comey faces Congress.

WASHINGTON, DC — Is this possibly the most D.C. thing ever? One local bar is inviting patrons to watch the James Comey hearing this week live while downing Russian-inspired alcoholic beverages — at 9:30 a.m. on a weekday. Fired FBI director Comey's hearing this Thursday on Capitol Hill is likely the most anticipated Congressional hearing since perhaps Iran-Contra, and the ownership at Shaw's Tavern in Northwest knows a business opportunity when it sees one.
They bar is calling it the "Comey Hearing Covfefe," according to a Facebook event page — a play on President Trump's bizarre midnight tweet of the mysterious non-word. It will run from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the tavern, located at 520 Florida Ave. NW.
"Come on... you know you want to watch the drama unfold this Thursday," the event page states. "We will be opening early at Shaw's Tavern at 9:30am and the hearing starts at 10am on all 5 tv's with sound. We will feature $5 Stoli Vodka flavors and our 'FBI' sandwich (our take on a BLT - simply for the abbreviation :)"

The Comey hearing is so widely anticipated because of suspicions that Trump may have fired the former FBI director earlier this year because of his investigation into the Trump administration's ties with Russia, which some argue would amount to obstruction of justice. Everyone is waiting on pins and needles for what Comey is going to say about the issue and if he'll reveal any further details about the investigation.
