For most of the region, "snow" is still in the forecast as temperatures fall at, or just below, freezing Sunday night. Monday? Windy and cool.

Mid-week will be sunny, with temperatures reaching the 70s. The air will cool with a chance of showers by the end of the week. But highs will be in the 60s and lows far from the winter threat this weekend.

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service:
Sunday Night: Occasional rain showers before 4am, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers. Low around 32. Northeast wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Monday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 48. Northwest wind 9 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74.
Friday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 67. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Saturday: A chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
