• State approves $2.8M for AMI projects (islander.org) — State lawmakers have approved $1.25 million to help Anna Maria completely rebuild its hurricane-damaged public works building on Pine Avenue, covering half of the project’s cost. Bradenton Beach and Holmes Beach also secured stormwater funding, but Anna Maria received the largest single allocation among the island cities for a city facility residents rely on daily.
   

• RoadWatch – 07-15-2026 (islander.org) — Expect lane restrictions and delays on Cortez Road near the bridge as concrete barriers remain in place through mid-August, affecting key approaches to Anna Maria. You can still skip parking hassles by using MCAT’s free island trolley, which runs daily between Coquina Beach and the Anna Maria City Pier with connections to mainland buses.
