• Contractor accused of scamming Biscayne Park senior out of $243K (local10.com) — A 75-year-old Biscayne Park resident reportedly lost more than $243,000 to a contractor she hired for work on her Griffing Boulevard pool house, prompting felony fraud, grand theft, and elderly exploitation charges. Biscayne Park police and village inspectors say shoddy, non-code-compliant work and repeated payment demands led to the case, with the contractor now out on bond pending further court action.
