The Greater Brandon Community Foundation's annual Evening of Hope will take place Nov. 12 at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.
During the event, $160,000 in grants will be given to 17 area nonprofit groups. The evening also will include an overview of the foundation's Angel Program, which helps families that have suffered from disease or catastrophe, or those with a deployed member of the military.
Tickets are $25 and must be reserved by Saturday. Call (813) 689-6889. There is free parking at the fairgrounds for the event, which will take place in the Florida Center and Botanical Gardens. Dress is business attire.

The grant money to be distributed was raised through a the foundation's annual charity golf tournament, the Brandon Blast Winterfest at Winthrop, and through the Southern Charm Wine and Food Gala.
Dinner will be furnished by Carrabba's and Outback Steakhouse in Lithia and served by the
Riverview High School culinary team.
