News Report: The Blue Wave Swim Team's Maddie Hess of Valrico qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at U.S. Senior Nationals in Atlanta on Dec. 3 in the 200-meter backstroke with a time of 2:17.94, making it by .06 seconds. On Dec. 2, the Newsome High School student swam the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 58.10, breaking Blue Wave Olympian Maritza Correia's Girls' 13-14 record.
