Progressive Adding 390 Jobs in Riverview

Progressive car insurance is adding 390 jobs at its Riverview contact center, the company said in a news release earlier this week.

The company will fill positions in sales, service and claims at its Crescent Park Drive campus. Phone representatives will sell policies, answer customer questions or help customers file accident claims. The positions require work experience in a customer service environment, according to the release.

Phone representatives will earn $12 to $15 an hour and are eligible for medical insurance and other benefits, Progressive national employment director John Hoppes told the Tampa Tribune.

Progressive already employs about 2,300 people in Hillsborough County, Hoppes told the newspaper. The company, whose headquarters are based in Mayfield Village, OH, was rated one of the best companies to work for in Tampa Bay, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
