HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Hillsborough County residents are invited to share their thoughts with about the upcoming redistricting process, local government officials said.

Redistricting is the constitutionally-mandated redrawing of local, state, and federal political boundaries every 10 years following the federal Census to account for changes in population during the previous decade, a Hillsborough County news release explained. The final map is decided by vote of the county board of commissioners, but they would like for residents to share their input virtually at HCFLGov.net/HCEngage. Public Engagement Opportunity
The county will conduct a virtual, online public engagement using the Hillsborough Engagement Hub to collect feedback from the public. Public comment for redistricting is open from Sunday, Sept. 19 to Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11:59 p.m. Visit HCFLGov.net/HCEngage to participate.
