Riverview Chamber Hosts Membership Meeting, Welcomes New Members

About 105 members and guests attended the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce's monthly membership meeting luncheon Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Riverview Community Center, 11020 Park Drive in Riverview.
The event was sponsored by Aston Gardens and the buffet luncheon was catered by Lupton’s Family Restaurant and Catering Service.
Guest speaker, Ross Spano of Christmas, Spano and Owen, provided information about growing a business in a recession.

Following the welcoming of new members and recognition of renewing members, Jeff Lupton of Lupton’s Family Restaurant was awarded the Golden Spatula Trophy for winning the 2011 Grilled Cheese Cook-off.
The honorary mayor’s race candidates, Gaby Perham of Mace Multimedia, Lisa Kennedy of Alley Cat Pest Control and Stuart Mackey of Mackey Productions briefly spoke about their charities of choice and reminded the guests that the Honorary mayor’s race will come to a close at 4 p.m., Sept. 15.

The fourth candidate, Wendy Milenkevich of The Preserve at Alafia, was not in attendance.
The GRCC monthly membership luncheons are held the fourth Tuesday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend ($10 for GRCC members or $15 for guests).
The next meeting will be Sept. 27.
