Sheriff Seeks Duo Responsible For Riverview Car Burglaries

Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives are looking for two people suspected of committing more than a dozen car burglaries.

RIVERVIEW, FL -- Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives are requesting the public's assistance to locate two people suspected of committing more than a dozen car burglaries in Riverview.

On Monday, April 23, at about 1 a.m., two men broke into a car at 11500 Mountain Bay Drive in Riverview. Home surveillance cameras captured photos of the burglars before they disabled the camera.

The duo is suspected of damaging or disabling other security cameras in the area and committing at least a dozen car burglaries along the Balm-Riverview Road corridor between Boyette Road and Panther Trace Boulevard last week. In some cases when they can't find anything to steal, they've stuck a garden hose in the window and flooded to car with water.

They are both black males, 16 to 20 years old. One is wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and long pants. The other is wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white logo and white shoes.
