Bloomingdale Grad Erin Andrews to be Honored at Storybook Ball
ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews will headline a charity ball for the Ronald McDonald House.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay is announced that ESPN sportscaster and "Dancing with the Stars" semi-finalist Erin Andrews has been selected as the recipient of the 2011 Award of Excellence.
The presentation will take place at the 12th annual Storybook Ball "Curious
George goes to a Chocolate Factory" Saturday, May 21, at A La Carte Event
Pavilion in Tampa. This award pays tribute to outstanding role models who give
of their time to charitable causes.
Andrews, a former Valrico resident and graduate of Bloomingdale High School, now works as a sportscaster for ESPN. She also competed on the television program, "Dancing with the Stars," in 2010.

This year's gala, presented by All Children's Hospital, features Busch Gardens
Tampa Bay as entertainment sponsor and longtime event designer and sponsor
Gold Productions whose breathtaking displays amaze attendees every year.
This year's event will be a chocolate extravaganza featuring craps tables, a mobile cigar lounge and an espresso bar.

"The Storybook Ball has become a highlight in our community, raising
significant funds to support our four Ronald McDonald Houses" explained
Executive Director and CEO Janice Davis. "Our ball features fine dining and
dancing and a variety of exclusive silent and live auction packages using the
latest technology in electronic bidding. All of our guests look forward to
this favored event of the year."
Organizers are seeking the community's support through sponsorships and the donation of creative and high-end items for the silent auction.
This year an array of items will have guests digging deep into their pockets for jewels, unique sports memorabilia and travel packages.
The Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay provides a safe and affordable
home away from home for families with children receiving medical treatment
at Bay area hospitals. The four area houses provide comfort and care to more
than 2,000 families annually, having served more than 39,000 families since
opening its doors in 1980. It is the cornerstone program of the Ronald
McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay.
Sponsorships for tables of 10 begin at $3,000; entry tickets are $700 a pair.
