There's a New Pizzeria in Town

Mark's Pizzeria opened at the corner of Providence and Bloomingdale in March.

For almost 30 years now, Mark's Pizzeria has been serving customers in up-state New York and Canada. Since franchise owner, Mike Stevens, used to work for the chain in Rochester, N.Y.,for nearly 10 years, he knew it would be a great fit here in Florida and opened Mark's Pizzeria  at the corner of Providence Road and Bloomingdale Avenue at 10839 Bloomingdale Ave., Riverview.

Stevens and his family moved to Riverview almost six years ago. When he decided it was time to open his own business, he went to his roots back in New York and contacted Mark's Pizzeria to franchise the operation here. And so the journey began.

"Mark's was founded on high customer service," stated Stevens.  "We always deliver a consistently superior product."

The pizzeria doesn't only carry pizza in thin and thick crust or the huge 32-slice sheet pizza, it also offers a varied menu so that, "we can offer a restaurant-style experience with dessert in your home," Stevens offered.

Mark's offers pizza with fresh dough made daily, wings, calzones, salads and cold and hot submarine sandwiches.  Finish your selection off with dessert of grandma's fried dough, brownie bites, cinnamon sticks or cookies.

Mark's also has an assortment of party combinations to help you cater your next birthday party, graduation, luncheon or other event. The pizzeria offers carryout and delivery options.

Since opening the doors on March 30, Stevens said "business is good." Even with the shaky economy, Stevens believes new businesses are able to stay afloat in smaller, diverse towns such as Riverview.

According to Stevens, "I like the town and people because it's a real working town. You don't have billionaires flaunting their fortunes in your face. You have real, down-to-earth individuals that help support the community."

"We'll treat you like family" is its motto and Stevens sticks to it.
