Two Unique Artists Combine into One Company

Riverview married couple, each with unique artistry abilities, combine their companies into one concept.

A local husband and wife team have combined their talents to create a business unlike any other.

Sean and Anastasia Gresh are the owners of Artistic Carpentry and Design LLC.  Sean handles the carpentry end of the business, while Anastasia puts the artistic design spin on almost all of Sean's work.

The two used to have separate businesses until January of this year.

Now residents of Riverview, Anastasia Gresh grew up in Sanibel Island and has a  love for the beach and all things water inspired.  Her unique paintings focus on this love and her metal art follows the movements of waves in the ocean.

As a teen, Anastasia Gresh moved to Indiana with her family where she met her husband shortly thereafter. They have two children with whom Gresh is able to stay home.

While in Indiana, Anastasia Gresh had put her paintings on hold.  However, shortly after graduation, she was in a car accident, was undergoing physical therapy and not able to work. This inspired a lot of yoga-posed paintings, she said.

Four years ago, a job offer for carpentry work led Sean Gresh and his family to Florida once again.  Sean offers unique woodworking and carpentry designs from custom designs for bars or restaurants to custom entertainment centers.

The company's motto is "If you can dream it...we can create it." according to Anastasia Gresh.  The duo has created custom countertops, back splashes, ceilings, furniture inlays and other creative designs. Combining Sean's talent with wood designs and Anastasia using metal or paint, the client is guaranteed a one-of-a-kind piece of work.

The duo likes to make things affordable as well.

"I think everybody should have a custom piece of artwork in their home," said Anastasia Gresh.  She is a fan of every wall being a display of the owner's personality, and artwork shows that.

Anastasia has a unique spin on art with custom metal pieces using aluminum, brass and copper.

"It depends on where the piece is going to stay which metal is used," Gresh said.  She has created outdoor pieces with custom tiles, metal or even paints covered with a special clear coat.

Sitting down with half of the duo, Anastasia Gresh mentioned she "loves the emotions that come out" in her work. You can tell if she is happy, disappointed, concerned or angry in the work that happens during the course of a day.

Both artists love when they get a call from client who has a basic idea in his head and says, "Run with it."  Their eyes light up at the possibilities they can take from there with the project.

For now, the duo is taking jobs wherever they come and that is starting to be more frequently. Just this week, Anastasia Art has been taken to two galleries and a few consignment stores across the Bay area,  some shops in Sarasota and others in Ybor City.
