VSI Tampa Flames to Host Inaugural Game, Festivities
The Tampa Flames will take on the Ocala Stampede Sunday, May 6 at JC Handly Sports Complex in Brandon.

The public is invited to join the VSI Tampa Flames PDL team as they start the 2012 season Sunday, May 6 taking on the Ocala Stampede in what will be an inaugural game for both sides at JC Handly Sports Complex, 3104 S. Kings Ave., Brandon, at 6 p.m.
The Brandon Flames FC recently merged with the West Florida Premier soccer club to create the VSI West Florida Flames. And through the association with VSI, there are now teams competing in the USL PDL League, USL Women’s-League and the USL Super 20s.

This association now enables all its players the opportunity to progress their soccer careers with the Flames all the way through to senior soccer, which in 2013 also will include the VSI Tampa Flames Pro side that will compete in the USL Pro League.
The inaugural match will be sponsored by McDonald's and the first 250 people will receive free admission courtesy of McDonald's. As part of the festivities, children will have the opportunity to enjoy the fun zone with numerous inflatables, a face painter and other activities.
At 5:30 p.m., key members of the community and members of the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce will join the team on the pitch for its ribbon-cutting, welcoming the Flames to the Brandon community.
