FAU seeking breast cancer survivors for exercise and brain health study

Researchers from the Department of Exercise Science and Health Promotion and the Department of Psychology at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) are seeking volunteers to help understand the benefits of exercise and non-invasive brain stimulation for improving memory, concentration, and focus in breast cancer survivors.

Eligibility includes individuals who have been diagnosed with breast cancer (stages 0–III), completed primary treatment (surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy), not currently engaged in a regular exercise program, and noticed some changes in concentration, focus, or memory following cancer treatment.

The study includes an initial baseline visit to assess cognition, physical function, physical activity, and body composition, along with surveys evaluating well-being and quality of life. Participants will then complete four weeks of supervised aerobic exercise at the FAU Boca Campus that may be combined with non-invasive brain stimulation sessions, followed by post-intervention testing visits.

Participants will receive valuable information about their health, functional performance, and body composition as well as $125 in Amazon Gift Cards for participating in the study.
