• FL Pilot Swam To Shore After Landing Small Plane In Atlantic Waters: Reports (patch.com) — Boca Raton beachgoers watched a dramatic emergency water landing Saturday when a 23-year-old pilot safely ditched her twin‑engine plane offshore and swam to shore. Local police, fire rescue, ocean rescue crews and the Coast Guard responded, and the uninjured pilot was taken to a hospital as a precaution while federal investigators began examining the aircraft at Silver Palm Park. 
• Coco Gauff and Arthur Fils win 2026 Cincinnati Open (thesportingbase.com) — Boca Raton's own Coco Gauff just captured the women's singles title at the 2026 Cincinnati Open, adding a 12th WTA trophy to her resume. The tournament also made history as Gauff and France's Arthur Fils became only the second pair of Black champions to win the men's and women's singles in the same city and year during the Open Era.
