15-Year-Old Killed In Early Thanksgiving Shooting: Bradenton Police
A teenage boy was fatally shot in the 1800 block of 28th Avenue East in Bradenton early Thursday morning, police said.
BRADENTON, FL — A 15-year-old boy was killed in a fatal shooting early Thanksgiving morning, according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.
A deputy heard gunshots while patrolling the 1800 block of 28th Avenue E. around 12:15 a.m. on Thursday.
When he got to the shooting scene, he found evidence in the road and a witness told him that an unidentified man ran from the area, police said.

Not long after this, deputies learned that a 15-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound had been dropped off at Manatee Memorial Hospital. He later died from his injuries, BPD said.
Detectives with the Manatee Homicide Investigative Unit are working on several leads, but no arrests were made as of Thursday, police said. The victim’s identity is being withheld under Marsy’s Law.
