17-Year-Old Bradenton Girl Missing Since January: Sheriff

BRADENTON, FL — A 17-year-old Bradenton girl has been missing since Jan. 7, when she ran away from Southeast High School, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Jinyah Reents was dropped off at school, which is located at 1200 37th Ave. E. in Bradenton, by her father that morning.

When an employee of a family resource center, which runs a shelter she had been staying at prior to her disappearance, came to pick her up at the end of the school day, she wasn’t there, police said.

Jinyah has a history of running away but has never gone this long without contacting her family, police said.

The teen is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weights around 200 pounds.
