A third suspect in the Bradenton case that occurred with five children at home remains at large.

The Bradenton Police Department has announced the arrests of two of the three men suspected in the double home invasion homicide that claimed the lives of two people last week while five children were inside the home.

Trey Nonombre, 18, and Jimme Lee McNear, 18, were both brought into custody early Monday morning, the police department wrote in an email to media.

Detectives with the Manatee County Homicide Investigative Unit identified three suspects in the July 9 murders of Kantral M. Brooks and Ester Deneus, both 29. A third suspect, Terez Jones, 33, remains at large, the email stated.

Nonombre fled from police when the warrant was served, but was captured by a sheriff’s office K-9 unit, the email said. He suffered a dog bite as a result and had to be treated at Manatee Memorial Hospital before being booked into the county jail.

Nonombre faces two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted home invasion. McNear was also charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted home invasion.

The crime that led to the arrests occurred at 3910 Southern Parkway West, across from Prine Elementary School. Police responded to an alarm call from the home around 3:51 a.m. July 9 and found the home’s front door glass broken out and two people dead inside, Lt. James Racky said. Five children, ranging in age from 1 to 11, were also inside the home at the time.

Surveillance video from the home showed three masked suspects walking up to the door on foot, Racky said. One of the suspects is seen on the video throwing a brick through the front door’s window.

The attackers shot Brooks near the front door and Ester Deneus inside the home, the department said in a media release. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The search for the third suspect in the case continues. Jones, police say, should be “considered armed and dangerous.”
