2 Men Wanted in Connection With Sunday Shooting
The Bradenton Police Department has described by men as 'armed and dangerous.'
The Bradenton Police Department is asking area residents to keep their eyes open for two men it says may be connected to an attempted homicide that took place Sunday afternoon.
According to the agency, the shooting took place around 2:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of 15th Street East. Police say Eric James of Bradenton was shot several times during the incident.
While James is recovering at a local hospital from gunshot wounds to his right arm and chest, police say they’ve identified a suspect and another man they would like to talk to, as well.

As of Monday afternoon, police say they’ve obtained an attempted homicide arrest warrant for Tre’Von Artkell Wicks, 20, of Arcadia. Wicks, police wrote in an email to media, “should be considered armed and dangerous.”

They are also asking residents to keep their eyes peeled for Jo-Vonte Marquis Johnson, 25, of Bradenton. Johnson, also considered armed and dangerous, is wanted for questioning in relation to the shooting, the email stated.
Anyone with information about the men’s whereabouts is asked to call Officer Fredy Ordonez at 941-932-9327. Those interested in a possible reward of up to $1,000 are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-634-8477 (TIPS) or send an anonymous E-Tip thru the web at www.manateecrimestoppers.com.
