3 Girls Hit By Pick-Up Truck In Bradenton: FL Highway Patrol
Three girls were injured after being hit by a pick-up truck while running across a Bradenton street Thursday, Florida Highway Patrol said.
BRADENTON, FL — Three girls were injured when they were hit by a pick-up truck in Bradenton on Thursday afternoon, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The girls — 15, 11 and 9 years old — ran across 15th Street East into the path of the truck near the 33rd Avenue Drive East intersection around 4:30 p.m., FHP said.
The driver tried to avoid hitting the children, steering the truck to the right, but still hit all three in the intersection, the agency said.

The truck drove off the road to the right, onto the grass shoulder, and hit a mailbox before stopping.
All three girls were taken to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg with non-life-threatening injuries, FHP said.

The crash remains under investigation.
