5 Bradenton Marauders Named to All-Star Team
Jarek Cunningham, Ramon Cabrera, Aaron Baker, Kyle McPherson and Brett Lorin will play in the Florida State League All-Star Game later this month.
Five Bradenton Marauders players were selected Thursday to play in the Florida State League's midseason All-Star Game later this month.
, , , and Brett Lorin will represent the Marauders at the June 18 game in Clearwater.
Cunningham entered Thursday tied for the league lead in extra-base hits (31) and tied for third in home runs (11). He was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Marauders' parent organization, in the 18th round of the 2008 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

Cabrera, a catcher, is hitting .336 for the Marauders. This is the second straight year he has been named to a midseason All-Star team, garnering honors in the South Atlantic League in 2010).
Baker, a first baseman, ranks seventh in the FSL in RBIs (39) and was also a South Atlantic League All-Star last year.

Right-hander McPherson leads the league in innings pitched (67.2) and WHIP (0.95) and is 4-1 with a 2.93 ERA in 11 starts this year. He was a 14th-round selection in 2007.
Righty Brett Lorin is 2-2 with one save and a 3.25 ERA in 11 games (six starts) this year. He was acquired by the Pirates from the Seattle Mariners in 2009.
