80-Year-Old Punched for Being Gentlemanly
His attacker got to see the inside of a police cruiser.

When a man at the Port Orange Applebee’s bar kept using curse words and discussing women’s private parts loudly enough for others to hear, it was too much for an 80-year-old man to stand for.
The elderly gent, WPTV reported, went up to the offending younger man and explained “in my Germany, you don’t speak in such a manner.”
The younger man, however, didn’t appear to be feeling very gentlemanly. Instead of heeding the older man’s request to tone down his talk, he told him he didn’t care and instructed the older man to go sit somewhere else, the station reported.

When the older man opted not to move, WCTV said, the younger one punched him in the face, pushed him and knocked him down.
Mikie Sawyer, 26, ended his curse-laden discussion shortly thereafter when police arrived. They booked him into the Volusia County Jail Sunday night for battery on a person 65 years of age or older and disorderly conduct. Sawyer was later released, jail records indicate.
