BRADENTON, FL — Investigators are looking for a teacher’s aide accused of tying a nonverbal student to a chair Feb. 2 at a Bradenton elementary school, according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.

While Exceptional Student Education teacher Carina Chindamo, 31, was taken into custody Tuesday evening, detectives have made multiple attempts to arrest her aide, 39-year-old Taylor Internicola, who hasn’t been found.

Security camera video footage of the G.D. Rogers Garden-Bullock Elementary School playground shows Chindamo Internicola tying the boy’s wrists with a nylon walking rope, a device used to teach students to walk in line.

The rope was then wrapped around the leg of a chair. The child sat on the ground behind the chair, restrained, for about an hour, the department said.

At various times in the video, Chindamo and Internicola were seen sitting on the chair, appearing to use their weight to keep the boy from getting free, police said.
