Illegal Gambling Operation Shut Down In Bradenton, 1 Arrested, Sheriff Says

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office said detectives seized cash, gambling machines and computer towers in a raid on an illegal arcade.

BRADENTON, FL — A Bradenton storefront on 26th Street West was shut down for operating as an illegal gambling business, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.

Detectives executed a search warrant at the arcade, at 4307 26th St. W., on the evening of July 17, after a weeks-long investigation.

During the operation, Keylin Reyes Escobar, 21, was seen running the business, the sheriff’s office said.

When detectives entered the building, Reyes Escobar fled through a back door but was taken into custody a short distance away.

She was arrested and charged with obstruction and being an agent or employee of a house for gambling.

During the search, detectives seized nearly $24,000 in U.S. currency, 34 gambling machines and 89 computer towers loaded with various gambling software programs, according to the sheriff's office.
