Dr. Halder Promoted to Clinical Medical Director

– Manatee Glens Chief Medical Officer Jose Zaglul, MD announces the appointment of Ranjay
Halder, MD to Clinical Medical Director.  Dr. Halder is a child psychiatrist, Board certified in general psychiatry. He will continue inpatient and outpatient practice at Manatee Glens in addition to his new administrative duties.  Dr. Halder will work closely with Dr. Zaglul in managing a medical practice of seventeen psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and psychologists.  He will also oversee
new programs, including the Manatee Glens Child Diagnostic Center.

    “Dr. Halder brings a family-centered approach to care that will help us engage our patients in their own recovery
from mental illness and addiction,” said Manatee Glens President and CEO Mary Ruiz. “He shares our commitment and vision for behavioral health.”

    “We are a place of resource and education and help when you need it,” said Dr. Halder. “My specialty is
children, and I wish more parents would come in and ask questions. We provide education and options.  Parents do not need to be alone anymore in trying to find answers for the children and teens.”  Manatee Glens already operates three day programs with the schools for elementary and middle school students as well as the Manatee Glens Children’s Crisis Center for severe emotional difficulties.

 “As Clinical Medical Director I want to assure families and patients that we will continue to offer state-of-the art care. You just have to ask,” stated Dr. Halder. “Manatee Glens is a place of help and hope. When you walk through the doors, that’s the first step to getting you back where you need to be going.”

Dr. Halder’s psychiatry residency took place at East Tennessee State University, John H. Quillen College of Medicine. His fellowship in child
psychiatry was at Palmetto-University of South Carolina School of Medicine where he was Chief Resident for one year. He is also an adjunct clinical assistant professor at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
