Junk King, a full-service junk removal company that recycles the “stuff” it picks up and hauls away has opened its third franchise Florida location in Sarasota. Tomas Jasek, owner of the Sarasota Junk King franchise, has lived in the community for 17 years. Originally from the Czech Republic, he moved to the United States in 1996, and consequently ran and grew a couple of businesses successfully. He got married in 2002 to his wife, Radana, and they have two young boys. Jasek said that he was attracted to this business specifically because it is a green company.
“My wife and I practice being ‘green’ at home, and we wanted to continue this in our professional lives as well,” said Jasek.

Junk King will haul away appliances, building materials, electronics, furniture, yard waste, tires, fencing and lumber, and just about anything that is not toxic. In addition to working with homeowners, they also work with realtors, property managers and large and small business owners who don’t have the time or ability to unload unwanted clutter. They will beat any written estimate, and are fully bonded, licensed and insured.
Based in San Carlos, California, Junk King was founded in 2005 in the garage of two young entrepreneurs who wanted to create a junk hauling service that would not only be dependable and affordable, but that would also be environmentally responsible. They believe that a greener planet is a better planet, so they recycle or donate up to 60 percent of the items collected.
