TAMPA, FL — A suspect in a March 3 armed home invasion in Bradenton was arrested earlier this month in Tampa, authorities said.

James Flowers, Jr., 37, was charged with home invasion and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.

Flowers and two other suspects entered a home in the 400 block of Cantabria Trail, ransacked it, and stole jewelry, cash, and a cell phone.

Two adults and three children were in the home at the time of the robbery, police said.

Detectives issued arrest warrants for Flowers in September. He was taken into custody in Tampa by the U.S. Marshals Service on Jan. 12 and later transferred to the Manatee County Jail.
