Where: North Sarasota Bay (middle of bay on the west shoreline)

Conditions: Light breeze; early morning; low, outgoing tide.

Quotable: Capt. Warren Girle: “We were throwing top-water plugs in the dark. We left the house at 6 o’clock. We were throwing on a major school of fish. There was a big trout of 23 inches mixed in and a four or five pound bluefish. Just non-stop.”
